Demos on CD are always sought to spin.
I went to college with Southhampton/Boston Post-Punk band "A Red Crescent Sect." PLEASE email if you know Alex Milne, the Ryan brothers, Harry or Otto from the band. Alex was also in One of Us & Reflecting Skin. I have demos circa 1987-1990 and a compilation LP with a song by ARCS. I'd really like to get the music in better format and get more recognition for these guys.
I spin more of the underplayed songs by Gothic legends, rare and amazing music by bands like Holy Cow, Of A Mesh, The Naked and the Dead, 13th Chime, Furyo, Gargoyle Sox, Parálisis Permanente, Monaguillosh, M4 Alice, 1984, Arc Gotic, This Ascension; German bands like Circle of Sig Tiu, EA80, Kontakt 46, Die Klopferbande, The Evil Speaks, Cadre Ash, Murder at the Registry, Pink Turns Blue, Marquee Moon and New Day's Delay. Newer acts like Igor Spectre, Shadow Reichenstein, Ghost Train, The Brides, Bellmer Dolls, Scarlet's Remains, From the Grave... Obscure and better known French and Italian bands like Brotherhood of Pagans, False Faces, Deadchovsky, Carillon del Dolore, Spiritual Bats and Blooding Mask; plus your favourite and soon to be new favourite English and American bands with the likes of Altered States, Sex Gang Children, Death in June, Voodoo Church, Ausgang, Christian Death, 45 Grave, Cinema Strange, Alien Sex Fiend, Virgin Prunes, Screaming Banshee Aircrew...will make your visit to Curse of the Hearse worthwhile. There's not too much pretensious music snobbery; however we do not play Wolfsheim or trendy Synth-pop. Instead you will hear pioneers like Joy Division (remember them?), Data Bank A, Siglo XX, League of Nations, Norma Loy and Silent Order. We love NDW--like Stimmen Der Stille, Leningrad Sandwich, II Invasion, Geile Tiere, Östro 430, FSK, Hans-A-Plast and Grauzone. Be prepared for a mix of tongue-in-cheek Necrophilia-themed songs speckled here and there with 1920's Flapper music, New Wave, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, 1970's Punk and more. Expect to hear stuff you like, songs you have not heard in ages, and stuff you will just have to get off the barstool and ask us about! We usually inspire a few people to track down some old vinyl of what we play.
